Moving to Amish Country?
Begin a Jobs Search Here

Looking for jobs in our area? Well, it’s about 90-minutes (80 miles) from Philadelphia to the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country and just a few minutes more (83 miles) from Baltimore.

But proximity to these major urban centers is only one reason why Lancaster County is such an attractive relocation destination. Even more alluring are the unique combinations of town and country, earthy and edgy, picturesque and progressive that characterize this charismatic area.

Of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties, Lancaster ranks sixth in population, says a published report by Lancaster Newspapers, Inc. Nearly half a million people live here, according to the Lancaster County Planning Commission. Since the year 2000, the number of residents has increased by more than 27,000, and is expected to grow by close to 28,000 more within the next five years.

Employment is the major lure, with more than 11,000 companies, pretty evenly split among the manufacturing, service, and retail sectors. Unemployment here is generally well below the national average.

In this section, our goal is to provide valuable links to online printed news outlets in our area to aid in your search. We hope we’ll see you here in Lancaster County. Good luck!
