Farm Fresh Produce Awaits
at Lancaster’s Farm Markets!

Making a trip to one of our local farmers markets is probably one of my favorite things to do, especially during the prime growing months, when the produce is at its absolute peak of freshness.

Because I do most of the cooking at our house, (and I do love it), I like to buy as much of my fruits and vegetables at the farmers markets for several reasons:

• I know it was picked not too long before it made its way in front of me
• The person I am buying from usually grew it
• I can ask questions about its production, and get an answer I can trust

But those aren’t the only reasons I like to attend Lancaster County’s farmers markets. When you live in an area as long as we have, you can always count on bumping into someone you know – so there is a social appeal for me too. It’s also a great place to spend a few hours with the family.
